What ? The CUET (UG) stands for the Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate). It is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. The exam is designed for admission to undergraduate programs in central universities across India, including universities like Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and many others.
Why ? CUET (UG) is needed to standardize and streamline the undergraduate admission process across central universities, eliminating the confusion of multiple entrance exams. It reduces the dependence on Class 12 marks, ensuring fairness for students from different educational backgrounds. The exam provides greater flexibility by allowing students to choose subjects based on their interests and desired programs.
